Former Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf believes that the national team would be able to defeat Australia in a Test series if they were to travel Down Under.
Yousuf’s comments came after India won their first-ever Test series in Australia after claiming a 2-1 series win.
However, Pakistan were beaten 2-1 by New Zealand in their Test series in the United Arab Emirates, and have also lost their ongoing Test series against South Africa, where they trail 2-0 in the third Test.

“If the Pakistan team went to Australia now, even they have a chance of winning there,” Yousuf said.
As quoted by The Indian Express, he also told PTI: “What the Indians have achieved is big and they played well to win the series but it is also a fact that when Pakistan beat Australia one nil in UAE last September-October, I was not surprised at all. Such is the strength of this Australian side
“I think India and Pakistan compared to Australia are very good sides. India in particular has quality batsmen and their bowlers have also learnt the art of bowling in Test cricket.
“The Australians are struggling at the moment. Their batting is not showing quality and because of this their bowlers have also struggled badly.”
