Mujeeb Ur Rahman took two wickets while conceding just 10 runs off his four overs to lead the Brisbane Heat to a five-wicket win over the Perth Scorchers.

Being put in to bat first, the Scorchers got off to a great start as Cameron Bancroft and Michael Klinger amassed a 56-run partnership before Bancroft was caught by Brendon McCullum off the bowling of Ben Cutting for 24.

Klinger went on to score 26 before he was stumped by Jimmy Peirson off the bowling of Mujeeb.

Captain Mitchell Marsh and Hilton Cartwright were the next to go, while Ashton Agar only made 11 before being dismissed by James Pattinson.

Ashton Turner managed to score a 30-ball 47, which included four boundaries and a six, as the Scorchers finished on 135/6.

Mujeeb and Cutting picked up two wickets apiece, while Pattinson and Brendan Doggett chipped in with one wicket each.

Chasing 136 to win, the Heat lost Max Bryant early on as he was sent packing by Nathan Coulter-Nile for 11.

McCullum, who opened the batting with Bryant, didn’t fare much better as he was dismissed by Coulter-Nile for 14.

Heat skipper Chris Lynn and Matt Renshaw added 39 runs to the score before Lynn was removed by Jhye Richardson for 33.

Renshaw and Peirson were sent packing soon after, but Joe Burns and Cutting mopped up the remaining runs to lead the Heat to victory with 10 balls to spare.

Burns finished on 20, which came off 25 balls and included a boundary and a six, while Cutting remained undefeated on 26, which came off 16 deliveries and included two boundaries and two sixes.

Coulter-Nile was the most successful bowler with three wickets, while Richardson and Jason Behrendorff claimed one wicket each.

Mujeeb was named Man of the Match.
