Pakistan have been dealt a big blow as left-arm seamer Junaid Khan will miss the rest of the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand due to a right toe issue.
Junaid complained of pain in his toe and upon being inspected, the team’s physiotherapist ruled that he had developed an infection in the second toe on his right foot.
As a result, the 28-year-old will miss the second and third ODIs against New Zealand.
According to the statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), a replacement, if any, will be announced at a later date.
