Spinner Shadab Khan took three wickets and opener Babar Azam scored 50 as Pakistan waltzed their way to a 33-run win over Australia in the third Twenty20 International in Dubai.

Opting to bat first, Pakistan got off to an excellent start as Azam and Sahibzada Farhan amassed a 93-run partnership, during which Azam brought up his fifty, before Farhan was caught by Andrew Tye at long-off off the bowling of Nathan Lyon for 39.

Azam ended up making a 40-ball 50, which included five boundaries and a six, before he was clean bowled by Tye.

Shoaib Malik made 18 before he was dismissed by Adam Zampa, while Asif Ali and Faheem Ashraf fell in quick succession.

However, with Mohammad Hafeez smashing an unbeaten 32, which came off 20 deliveries, Pakistan finished on 150/5.

Mitchell Marsh was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets, while Zampa, Tye and Lyon chipped in with one wicket apiece.

Chasing 151 to win, Australia made a brisk start to their innings before captain Aaron Finch was caught by Hafeez at mid-on off the bowling of Faheem for one run.

Alex Carey hammered a nine-ball 20 before he was caught by Faheem at midwicket off the bowling of Hafeez.

Chris Lynn only managed to make 15 runs before he was sent packing by Shadab, while Ben McDermott was run out by Azam for 21.

Shadab then took out Glenn Maxwell and Marsh for four and 21 respectively.

Usman Khan joined the party by removing D’Arcy Short for 10 before Shadab ran Nathan Coulter-Nile out for a golden duck the very next ball.

Hasan Ali finished things off as he dismissed Tye and Zampa to bowl Australia out for 117.

Shadab was the most successful bowler with three wickets, while Hasan took two, and Faheem, Hafeez and Usman claimed one wicket each.

Shadab was named Man of the Match.
