The Jamaica Tallawahs have added New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi to their squad as a replacement for Australia spinner Adam Zampa.

Zampa, who will return back to Australia for the start of the domestic season, represented the Tallawahs in nine matches and took nine wickets at an average of 27.44.

Sodhi, who will be playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the first time, featured in the Indian Premier League and England’s Vitality Blast earlier this year.

In his maiden IPL stint, where he played for the Rajasthan Royals after being signed as a replacement for Afghanistan leg-spinner Zahir Khan, Sodhi claimed five wickets in six matches at an average of 27.

He followed it up with 19 wickets in 15 games for Nottinghamshire in the Vitality Blast at an average of 23.21.

The Tallawahs have already booked their spot in the CPL playoffs and will take on the Guyana Amazon Warriors in their final group stage match.
