Ex-Pakistan skipper Aamir Sohail feels that batsman Babar Azam should be given a clear indication of where to bat instead of constantly being moved up and down the order.
Sohail admitted that he is growing increasingly frustrated seeing one of Pakistan’s best talents coming in at No. 3 in some games and No. 5 in others.
The 51-year-old also pointed out that continually changing Azam’s position on the batting line-up will hinder his performances going forward.
“I don’t agree with Babar Azam batting at number 5 against the stronger teams and then moved to 3 against the likes of Zimbabwe and I don’t think this is helping Babar at all,” he wrote in his blog for PakPassion. “You have to give him a clear role that he will bat at number 3 or number 5 irrespective of the opposition and not keep moving him around the order.”
