West Indies batsman Shai Hope won a number of prizes at the West Indies Players’ Association/Cricket West Indies’ awards ceremony in Barbados on Wednesday.
Hope was named Cricketer of the Year, Test Cricketer of the Year and ODI Cricketer of the Year.
Hope has excelled in international over the past year, especially in Test cricket, where he scored 727 runs in just nine matches.
Meanwhile, opening batsman Evin Lewis claimed the T20 Cricket of the Year award for scoring 234 runs in three innings over the past 12 months at an average of 117.
In regards to women’s cricket, West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor took home the Women’s Cricketer of the Year and Women’s ODI cricketer of the Year awards.
All-rounder Deandra Dottin was named Women’s T20 Cricketer of the Year.
