India captain Virat Kohli has vowed to become fully fit ahead of his side’s tour of England, which will begin on July 3.
Kohli was supposed to play for Surrey in a short county stint prior to the series against England, but it had to be called off after he sustained a neck injury.
However, the 29-year-old has already started his rehabilitation and took to Twitter on Tuesday to post an update of his progress.

“Hey guys, a lot of hard work is going on. The rehab is on and just doing what I can do best and what I am allowed to do at the moment. Hard work is the only way and hard work always pays off,” he said in the video.
Kohli is scheduled to undergo a fitness test in Bangalore on June 15, which is a day after the historic Test between India and Afghanistan get underway. The Test match will be special for Afghanistan as they will be making their debut in the longest format.
