Amay Khurasiya feels that Virat Kohli could become India’s greatest-ever cricketer

Former India batsman Amay Khurasiya firmly believes that Virat Kohli has what it takes to become the country’s greatest-ever cricketer.

Currently, most people would argue that iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar is the best player India ever produced, but Kohli is nearing his record for the most ODI centuries.

While Kohli still has a long way to go to match Tendulkar’s feats in Test cricket, Khurasiya reiterated that the Indian skipper still has a long career ahead of him and could end up rewriting the record books.

“Kohli has the talent to become India’s most successful cricketer ever,” he was quoted as saying by Sportstarlive. “I was mighty impressed by the double hundred he scored in the Indore Test against New Zealand in 2016 without hitting a single six; that was just a few months after scoring four hundreds in the IPL.”

Kohli is currently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he is captaining the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who have already been eliminated.

Once the IPL concludes, Kohli and the rest of the Indian team will prepare for their lengthy tour of England, which will comprise of three Twenty20 Internationals, three ODIs and five Tests.
