West Indies pace bowler Ronsford Beaton has been suspended from bowling in international matches after the International Cricket Council (ICC) deemed his action to be illegal.

Beaton was reported for a suspect action during an ODI against New Zealand on December 24 before failing his bowling test.

While Beaton will not be allowed to take part in any domestic competitions held by other cricket boards, he can still play domestic cricket, provided he gets approval from Cricket West Indies.

The 25-year-old will work on his bowling action during a Cricket West Indies fast bowling camp in Antigua.

“We are fully committed to working with Ronsford during this period of remedial work which will hopefully accelerate his successful re-admission to the professional game,” Cricket West Indies’ director of cricket Jimmy Adams was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
