Pakistan pace bowler Rumman Raees has been sidelined with a knee injury as of late, but revealed that his recovery is going well and that he is expected to be fully fit within three to four weeks.

Raees sustained the injury while fielding for Islamabad United in their Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against the Quetta Gladiators. Since he is still nursing the injury, he was not included in the Test squad for the upcoming tours of Ireland and England.

“My knee injury is better, I’m feeling strong, I will start shadow bowling practice by next week. Maybe within three to four weeks I will start playing properly,” he was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “Probably, I [will] play in Pakistan’s next series.”

Meanwhile, in a video posted on Facebook, Raees reveals that his favourite footballer is Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 26-year-old added that the Portuguese superstar is the only reason he watches and plays football.

During the video, Raees is seen playing the FIFA video game with his friends and upon scoring a goal, he mimics Ronaldo’s celebration.
