New Zealand pace bowler Adam Milne has joined the Mumbai Indians as a replacement for Australia seamer Pat Cummins.

Cummins, who was bought for INR 5.4 crores at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in January, was ruled out of the tournament with a back injury.

Milne is the second fast bowler the Indians have had to bring in as the franchise signed New Zealand left-arm seamer Mitchell McClenaghan after Australia seamer Jason Behrendorff was sidelined for the IPL with a back injury.

Milne has played in the IPL before as he represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore in five matches across two seasons in 2016 and 2017. In the five matches, he took four wickets at an average of 44.25.
