New Zealand left-arm seamer Trent Boult was bestowed with the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal and named Test Cricketer of the Year at the 2018 NZC Annual Awards.

Boult dominated during the period taken into consideration as he claimed 77 wickets across all formats and registered a number of personal milestones.

The 28-year-old became just the sixth New Zealand bowler to take 200 Test wickets and was also the sixth-fastest player in history to take 100 ODI wickets.

Meanwhile, batsman Ross Taylor was crowned ODI Cricketer of the Year, while opener Colin Munro took home the T20I Cricketer of the Year prize. Taylor also captured the Redpath Cup, which honours the best first-class batsman.

Taylor averaged 78 in ODI cricket during the period, while Munro averaged 57 in Twenty20 Internationals and had a strike-rate of 182.

Left-arm seamer Neil Wagner won the Winsor Cup, which is the domestic bowling award.

Central Districts left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel claimed the Men’s Domestic Player of the Year award, while his team-mate Anton Devcich was adjudged Super Smash Player of the Year.
