Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan is alleged to have broken the dressing room’s glass door during his side’s do-or-die clash with Sri Lanka in the Nidahas Trophy last Friday.
The match turned into a highly heated affair as Bangladesh needed 12 runs to win in the last over.
However, Shakib grew incredibly infuriated after two alleged no-balls were not called. As a result, he gestured towards Mahmudullah to return back to the dressing room. Had Bangladesh gone through with this, they would have been disqualified.
Instead, Mahmudullah scored 12 runs off the next three balls, which included a game-winning six off the penultimate ball of the match, to help Bangladesh qualify for the final, where they lost to India in a last-ball thriller.
However, even after the match finished, there were a lot of altercations between the two sides. To make matters worse, the dressing room door was smashed.

While the CCTV footage was inconclusive, The Indian Express reported that match referee Chris Broad spoke to caterers in the dressing room to find out who caused the damage.
The caterers allegedly told Broad that Shakib had broken the door, while eyewitness account, which Broad was made aware of, claimed that the Bangladesh skipper had forcefully pushed the door, which caused the glass to shatter.
