India batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has cemented his spot in the country’s Test team, but will he ever revive his limited overs career?

Pujara has only featured in five ODIs to date and scored 51 runs at an average of 10.20. While this may seen unimpressive, it should be noted that he averages 54.14 in his List A career.

The 30-year-old has yet to make his Twenty20 International debut, but in the 58 Twenty20s he has featured in, he averages 25.48.

Even though his last ODI for India was all the way back in June 2014, Pujara believes that he can still resurrect his limited overs career.

“Perception, I would say, has played a major role,” Pujara was quoted as saying by Zee News. “If you check my performance in List A (average of 58 plus over 88 games) and T20s (strike rate of 105.18 in 58 games), I still have a lot to offer in the shorter formats. I am not at all worried as I know my opportunity would come at some point in time.”
