The Mumbai Indians, who are the reigning Indian Premier League (IPL) champions, will host the Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium on April 7 in the opening game of this year’ tournament.
The first qualifier on May 22 and the IPL final on May 27 will be held at the same stadium. However, the venues for the eliminator and second qualifier have yet to be confirmed.
The first double-header will take place on April 8, with the first fixture seeing the Delhi Daredevils hosting the Kings XI Punjab. This will be followed by a clash between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens.
The Rajasthan Royals, who will be making their comeback in the tournament, along with the Super Kings, will kick off their campaign against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 9.
It has also been confirmed that all the franchises, with the exception of the Kings XI Punjab, will play all seven of their home games at their designated venues.
The Kings XI Punjab, on the other hand, will play three home games – against the Super Kings, Sunrisers and Daredevils – in Indore. Their remaining four home games will he held in Mohali.
