England captain Eoin Morgan has admitted that he is a big fan of the concept of T20 tri-series as they are quick and competitive.

Morgan’s side are currently involved in a T20 tri-series against Australia and New Zealand. While Australia secured a comfortable win in the first match of the competition, England will begin their campaign against Australia on February 7 in Hobart.

While the 31-year-old added that he would like to see T20 tri-series occur on a more regular basis, he admitted that the hectic international schedules all teams have make it difficult to organise.

“I’m a massive fan of tri-series, they bring the competitive nature out in every team,” he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “In a tournament basis, you have the carrot of a final at the end, so I’m all for them. If we could play more, we would but I don’t think it’s viable with travel schedules around the world.”

Following their clash with Australia at the Bellerive Oval, England will go up against their Australian counterparts once again in Melbourne on February 10.
