West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has admitted that he is delighted to be representing the Chennai Super Kings once again and even went as far as calling it “the best franchise that I have ever played for”.
Bravo was snapped up by the Super Kings for INR 6.4 crores at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction over the weekend after they used a Right to Match Card on him.
With the Super Kings back in the IPL after a two-year suspension, Bravo is excited to be playing alongside many of his old teammates, which include MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and Faf du Plessis.
“I’m happy, blessed and honoured to be retained by the Chennai Super Kings,” Bravo told the franchise’s website. “I’m very happy and excited to be back in Yellow. To all our CSK fans eagerly waiting… this IPL we are back!
“Personally, it is the best franchise that I have ever played for and I’m looking forward to it and meeting up with our captain MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, (Ravindra) Jadeja and also to the newcomers who are now going to be new members of our family. Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu to just name a few guys who are going to join us and wear the Yellow jersey… can’t wait!”
Bravo, who was the leading wicket-taker in the 2013 and 2015 IPL, added that the tournament wasn’t the same without the Super Kings.
