Andrew Tye took his third hat-trick of 2017, while Ashton Turner smashed an unbeaten 52 as the Perth Scorchers defeated the Sydney Sixers by six wickets.
Opting to bowl first, the Scorchers enjoyed a lot of success early on and left the Sixers reeling at 46/5 in the seventh over.
However, Nic Maddinson gave the Sixers a bit of a boost with his 33-ball 31, which included two boundaries.
Once he was gone, the wickets continued to fall until Steve O’Keefe and Sean Abbott put a stop to it with their 48-run partnership.
Both players ended up making 23 before they Tye dismissed them in successive deliveries. Tye then proceeded to complete his hat-trick and bowl the Sixers out for 132 when he trapped Daniel Sams lbw for a golden duck.

Tye was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, while Mitchell Johnson, David Willey and Jhye Richardson snapped up two wickets apiece.
Chasing 133 to win, the Scorchers got off to a decent start before openers William Bosisto and Josh Philippe were removed by Abbott in consecutive deliveries.
David Willey only made 13 before becoming Abbott’s third victim, while Hilton Cartwright scored 20 before being caught and bowled by Doug Bollinger.
However, Turner and captain Adam Voges finished things off with an unbeaten 70-run partnership, during which Turner surpassed his fifty.
Turner ended up making 52 off 27 balls, which included two boundaries and five sixes, while Voges remained undefeated on 19 off 17 deliveries, which included a solitary boundary.

Abbott was the most successful bowler with three wickets, while Bollinger claimed one.
Turner was named Man of the Match.
