Pakistan have called up Usman Khan as a replacement for fellow left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir, who was ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Amir was ruled out of the series after sustaining a stress-related injury in his right shin during the second Test against Sri Lanka in Dubai. As a result of his injury, the 25-year-old has been advised to rest for two to three weeks.
Usman has yet to make his ODI debut, but he has represented Pakistan in four Twenty20 Internationals, the most recent of which came during the Independence Cup, where Pakistan took on the World XI in Lahore.
In regards to his List A career, the 23-year-old has picked up 30 wickets in 19 matches at an average of 26.63.
The five-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka begins on October 13 in Dubai.
