Pakistan spinner Yasir Shah has expressed his desire to play ODI cricket once again.
Yasir has been Pakistan’s go-to spinner in Test matches, but it is not the same case when it comes to the 50-over format as he has not played an ODI since August 2016.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed a lot of success in the longest format thus far as he has taken 149 wickets in 26 Tests.
But, he has failed to have the same kind of impact in ODIs as he has claimed 18 wickets in 17 matches at an average of 42.55.
“The idea is to put in my best effort for Pakistan,” he told PakPassion.net. “To achieve that, I will aim to bowl the best I can in every league or domestic tournament so that the selectors can take note and pick me for the national team.
