Zimbabwe all-rounder Ryan Burl was hospitalised in Sri Lanka due to an allergic reaction he suffered after eating fish.
The news was made public via Zimbabwe Cricket’s Twitter account midway through the third ODI against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
Burl has since recovered and took to Twitter to thank the hospital staff for all their help.
“Thank you very much to the doctors and staff at Hambantota hospital for helping me recover! A terribly frightening experience,” he said.
