The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applicants to put their name forwards for the head coach position.

Anil Kumble, who currently holds the post, will have to go through a selection process if he is to keep hold of the role after the Champions Trophy next month.

The BCCI have set a deadline of May 31 for anyone interested in applying for the position.

Once all the applications are in, the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), which consists of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, will interview and ask for presentations from the interested candidates.

Kumble was appointed India’s head coach last June and in that time, India won Test series against the West Indies, New Zealand, England, and Australia. They also triumphed in limited overs series against the Black Caps and England in that period of time.
