The Royal Challengers Bangalore concluded their disappointing Indian Premier League (IPL) season with a 10-run win over the Delhi Daredevils.
Electing to bat first, the Royal Challengers lost opener Vishnu Vinod for three runs as he was clean bowled by Pat Cummins.
Chris Gayle and skipper Virat Kohli stabilised the innings with a 66-run partnership before Gayle was dismissed by Shahbaz Nadeem for 48.
Travis Head only made two runs, while Kohli went on to score 58 off 45 balls, which included three boundaries and three sixes, before he was dismissed by Daredevils captain Zaheer Khan.
With Kedar Jadhav and Sachin Baby falling soon after, the Royal Challengers ended up finishing on 161/6 off their 20 overs.
Cummins was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets, while Nadeem and Zaheer chipped in with one wicket apiece.
Chasing 162 to win, the Daredevils got off to a disastrous start as opener Sanju Samson was dismissed by debutant Avesh Khan for a duck on the second ball of the innings.
Just as the Daredevils were beginning to rebuild their innings, Karun Nair was removed by Shane Watson for 26.
Shreyas Iyer managed to make 32 before he was sent packing by Harshal Patel.
Things went downhill for the Daredevils from that point on as Head and Pawan Negi ripped through their middle and lower order.
Rishabh Pant did his best to try and keep his side in contention, but his 34-ball 45 went in vain as the Daredevils were bowled out for 151.
Patel and Negi took three wickets apiece, while Head snapped up two, and Avesh and Watson claimed one wicket each.
Patel was named Man of the Match.
