Chasing 139 to win, Sunrisers captain David Warner fell early as he was trapped lbw off the bowling of Mitchell McClenaghan for six runs.

Dhawan and Moises Henriques made up for the loss of Warner with a 91-run partnership before Henriques was sent packing by Jasprit Bumrah for 44.

Even though Yuvraj Singh was on his way back to the pavilion shortly after, Dhawan helped the Sunrisers reach their target with 10 balls to spare.

Dhawan ended up finishing on 62 off 46 deliveries, which included four boundaries and two sixes.

McClenaghan, Bumrah and Lasith Malinga claimed one wicket each.

Dhawan was named Man of the Match.
