After collapsing for 49, the lowest total in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, in their last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Royal Challengers Bangalore were looking to turn their fortunes around, but the weather stopped that from happening.

The Royal Challengers were due to take on defending champions, the Sunrisers Hyderabad, but due to the relentless rain, a toss wasn’t even possible.

With the match being washed out, the Royal Challengers’ hopes of qualifying for the playoffs have diminished further as they need to win all six of their remaining games to have a chance of doing so.

As for the Sunrisers, they remain in third place on the points table, but they are still on the hunt for their first victory away from home in the ongoing edition of the tournament.
