The Gujarat Lions have signed all-rounder Irfan Pathan after West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was ruled out of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

It was initially thought that Bravo would be available later on in the tournament, but on Monday, he confirmed that he was still undergoing rehabilitation for a hamstring injury he underwent surgery for.

Bravo sustained the injury while representing the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL) on December 29, 2016.

Irfan, who went unsold at the IPL auction in February with a base price of INR 50 lakh, played for the Rising Pune Supergiants last year.
