Amir celebrates after claiming his fourth five-wicket haul in Test cricket

Only 11.3 overs of play was possible on the second day in Jamaica, but that was all the time Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir needed to complete his five-wicket haul.

The start of the second day was delayed for four hours due to a soggy outfield, but when the West Indies finally resumed their innings on 244/7, they were only able to add 20 runs to their overnight score before Devendra Bishoo was caught behind off the bowling of Amir for 28.

Amir struck again in his next over as he clean bowled Alzarri Joseph for a duck.

With Amir looking threatening and the West Indies only having one wicket in hand, captain Jason Holder took it upon himself to get as many runs as possible on the scoreboard.

Holder and Shannon Gabriel managed to put together an unbeaten four-run partnership before the heavens parted.

With the rain lashing down, the umpires had no choice but to bring play to an end for the day.

Holder finished on 55 off 69 balls, which included seven boundaries and two sixes, while Gabriel remained undefeated on four off four deliveries, which included a boundary.

Amir was the pick of the bowlers with five wickets, while Yasir Shah took two, and Wahab Riaz and debutant Mohammad Abbas claimed one wicket apiece.

The West Indies ended day two on 278/9 and will continue batting on Sunday at 10:00 local time or 15:00 GMT.
