The West Indies have recalled Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Samuel Badree and Lendl Simmons for the first two games of the upcoming four-match Twenty20 series against Pakistan.
The quartet were informed of the their selection by chairman of selectors Courtney Browne. However, while they have been selected for the first two games, it remains unclear whether they will retain their place in the squad for the third and fourth Twenty20 Internationals.
It is unlikely that they will since the Twenty20 series finishes just three days before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on April 5. All four players will be involved in the star-studded tournament in India.
Carlos Brathwaite is set to carry on as captain, but it will be interesting to see if the West Indies call up former skipper Darren Sammy, who has not played international cricket since leading the West Indies to World Twenty20 glory last year.
