The Rising Pune Supergiants have bolstered their pace attack by securing the services of Shardul Thakur from the Kings XI Punjab.

Thakur was bought by the Kings XI in 2014 for INR 20 lakhs, but only played a single match for them.

But, he will now join the Supergiants for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and add more depth to their fast bowling line-up.

This is the second trade the Supergiants have made as they acquired opening batsman Mayank Agarwal from the Delhi Daredevils in January.

The Supergiants will begin their IPL campaign against the Mumbai Indians in Pune on April 6.
