Bangladesh left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman is set to make his Test comeback in the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
Mustafizur has not featured in the longest format since August 2015, but was due to return in the two-Test series in New Zealand last month. However, a hamstring injury stopped that from happening.
He was then supposed to feature in the one-off Test against India earlier this month, but that did not come to fruition as the team management felt he was not fully fit.
However, there are no concerns about his fitness this time around as the 21-year-old competed in two rounds of the Bangladesh Cricket League.
While Mustafizur is on track to make his long-awaited comeback, opener Imrul Kayes will continue to be sidelined.
Kayes injured his thigh during the warm-up match against India A and has failed to sufficiently recover.
The two-Test series begins on March 7 in Galle, while the second Test will get underway on March 15 in Colombo and will be the 100th Test match Bangladesh have featured in.
