The Adelaide Strikers have brought in New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi as a replacement for pace bowler Chris Jordan, who is currently nursing a hamstring injury.
Jordan strained his hamstring in the Strikers’ five-wicket win over the Hobart Hurricanes on Friday.
As a result of the injury, Jordan is now in a race against time to be fit for England’s Twenty20 series in India, which begins on January 26 in Kanpur.
“Jordan has a left hamstring strain which occurred during the Hurricanes match,” Sports Science and Sports Medicine Manager John Porter said. “We are working with the England cricket team support staff to manage Jordan’s fitness to ensure that he will be fit for their T20 series against India beginning January 26.”
Meanwhile, the Strikers have also added wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Ludeman and fast bowler Wes Agar to their side. Ludeman is expected to take over the wicketkeeping duties from Ben Dunk.
