Playing Test cricket would be a dream come true for Lynn

It is safe to say that Lynnsanity has been one of the biggest topics in the cricketing world as of late given Chris Lynn’s incredible performances in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL).
Lynn, who represents the Brisbane Heat, has taken the BBL by storm, scoring 309 runs, which includes three fifties, in five matches at an average of 154.50 and a strike rate of 177.58.
As a result of his stellar performance, Lynn is set to feature in his first ODI on Friday in Brisbane after being called up to the national team for the five-match series against Pakistan.
While the 26-year-old is no doubt delighted to have been included in the ODI squad, he revealed that his ultimate goal is to represent Australia in Test cricket.
“It is the goal,” he said. “I haven’t played a one-dayer yet, so I can’t think too far ahead.
“I want to try and feel comfortable in that environment and just go from there.”
Should the opportunity of a Test call-up come knocking at his door in the near future, Lynn pointed out that he will not change his attacking style of play, especially considering the amount of success opening batsman David Warner has had with the same mindset.
“If I keep it very simple that’s where it works for me and someone like David Warner,” he said. “The more I think about my game though, the technical side, that’s where I start to doubt myself.”
But, while Lynn averages 44.39 after playing in 40 Sheffield Shield games, he conceded that the one area which lets him down is the fact that he has been too injury prone in the last few years.
“I haven’t played a full season for the Queensland Bulls for four seasons now,” he said. “My numbers are okay but I haven’t played a full season.”
