Perth Scorchers captain Adam Voges could miss the remainder of the Big Bash League (BBL) season after injuring his hamstring.
Voges sustained the injury while batting during his side’s 50-run win over the Sydney Thunder on Sunday.
The 37-year-old underwent an MRI scan, which revealed that he had aggravated a pre-existing hamstring injury, which he had suffered while playing for Australia in the first Test against South Africa in November.
While there is a possibility Voges’ BBL campaign is over, the Scorchers are hoping that he will be fit enough to feature in their match against the Melbourne Stars on January 14.
The Scorchers currently sit at the top of the points table with three wins out of the four games they have played thus far.
