The St Lucia Zouks are in incredible form at the moment and continued to impress when they defeated the Jamaica Tallawahs by 17 runs in Lauderhill, Florida.
Being put in to bat first, the Zouks got off to a magnificent start as wicketkeeper Andre Fletcher and Johnson Charles amassed a 104-run partnership, during which Charles brought up his half-century, before he was dismissed by Garey Mathurin for 64 off 35 balls, which included nine boundaries and two sixes.
Michael Hussey fell shortly after for eight runs, while Fletcher ended up making 70 off 54 deliveries, which included four boundaries and five sixes, before he was removed by Rovman Powell.
Despite the quick flurry of wickets, Shane Watson blasted an unbeaten 42 off just 17 balls, which included five sixes, to lead the Zouks to 194/3 off their 20 overs.
Powell was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets, while Mathurin chipped in with one.
Chasing 195 to win, all of the batsmen that came in to bat for the Tallawahs got off to encouraging starts, but not one of them were able to go on and convert it into a big score.
Tallawahs captain Chris Gayle top-scored for his side with 30 runs, while Kumar Sangakkara, Powell and Andre Russell were all dismissed upon entering the twenties.
Despite a quickfire 23 not out by Alex Ross, the Tallawahs ended up falling short of their target as they finished on 177/6 off their 20 overs.
Shane Shillingford was the most successful bowler with two wickets, while Watson, Delorn Johnson, Jerome Taylor and Gidron Pope claimed one wicket each.
Watson was named Man of the Match.
