Trinbago Knight Riders captain Dwayne Bravo led by example as he sliced through the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots’ batting line-up to lead his side to an eight-wicket win.
Choosing to bat first, the Patriots found themselves in trouble as they were reduced to 69/4 in the 12th over.
Lendl Simmons stood tall amongst the rubble and hammered a valiant 60, which came off 40 balls and included three boundaries and four sixes.
Thanks to Simmons, the Patriots managed to make 137/6 off their 20 overs.
Bravo inflicted the most damage with four wickets, while Anton Devcich and Sunil Narine chipped in with one wicket apiece.
Chasing 138 to win, the Amazon Warriors lost opener Hashim Amla early on for six runs, but William Perkins and Denesh Ramdin made up for it by amassing a 58-run partnership before Perkins was dismissed by Jonathan Carter for 29.
Ramdin and Brendon McCullum finished things off with a 74-run stand, during which Ramdin surpassed his half-century.
Ramdin finished on 52 off 46 balls, which included six boundaries, while McCullum remained undefeated on 43 off 28 deliveries, which included two boundaries and three sixes.
Carter and Jeremiah Louis claimed one wicket each.
Bravo was named Man of the Match.
