Sunrisers Hyderabad pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar took four wickets and captain David Warner slammed an unbeaten 74 to lead their side to a convincing 10-wicket win over the Gujarat Lions.

Kumar and Warner were well supported by opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan as he smashed an unbeaten 53.

Warner would have been delighted with his decision to bowl first as Lions skipper Suresh Raina was the only batsman to have a major impact as he hammered an entertaining 75, which came off 51 balls and included nine boundaries.

With only two other batsmen able to reach double figures, the Lions were restricted to 135/8 off their 20 overs.

Kumar inflicted the most damage with four wickets, while Barinder Sran, Mustafizur Rahman, Deepak Hooda and Bipul Sharma chipped in with one wicket apiece.

Chasing 136 to win, Warner and Dhawan got the job done with relative ease as they amassed an unbeaten 137-run partnership in just under 15 overs to carry the Sunrisers to a comfortable win.

Warner ended up making 74 off 48 balls, which included nine boundaries, while Dhawan remained undefeated on 53 off 41 deliveries, which included five boundaries.

Kumar was named Man of the Match.
