South Africa batsman Temba Bavuma made history and captured the hearts of Proteas fans all around the world when he scored a sparkling century on the fourth day of the second Test in Cape Town.

Bavuma became the first black African to score a Test century for South Africa and was well supported by skipper Hashim Amla, who made a spectacular 201.

Starting out the day on 353/3, Amla and Faf du Plessis converted their 85-run partnership into a 171-run stand, during which Amla brought up his fourth double hundred, before he was clean bowled by Stuart Broad for 201, which came off 477 balls and included 27 boundaries.
