England pace bowler Steven Finn has been added to the Test squad ahead of the first Test against South Africa, which will take place in Durban on Boxing Day.

Finn missed the recent series against Pakistan due to a stress-related injury to his foot and was not initially picked for the tour of the South Africa.

However, following some impressive performances for the England Lions against Pakistan A, Finn was drafted into the national team and stands a chance of playing in the first Test.

“I’ve been really pleased with the way things have gone with the Lions,” Finn said. “I’ve bowled my overs and my foot has come through fine. I’m excited by the prospect of linking up with the team out in South Africa.”
