Australia batsmen Adam Voges and Shaun Marsh both scored unbeaten centuries to leave the West Indies in dire straits on the first day of the first Test in Hobart.
Voges and Marsh received some excellent support from opening batsman David Warner, who made a rapid 64.
Australia captain Steven Smith would have been delighted with his decision to bat first as Warner and Joe Burns ensured the Baggy Greens got off to a strong start by amassing a 75-run partnership before Burns was clean bowled by Shannon Gabriel for 33.
Smith would have been disappointed not to contribute with the bat as he was caught by Jermaine Blackwood at slip off the bowling of Jomel Warrican for 10.
Warner ended up making 64 off 61 balls, which included 11 boundaries before he was caught behind off the bowling of Warrican.

Warner’s wicket was the last taste of success the West Indies would have for the remainder of the day as Voges and Marsh put together an unbeaten 317-run partnership, during which Voges and Marsh brought up their centuries, before stumps was called.
Voges finished on a career-best 174 off 204 balls, which included 19 boundaries, while Marsh remained undefeated on 139 off 205 deliveries, which included 12 boundaries.

Warrican was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets, while Gabriel snapped up one.
Australia ended day one on 438/3 and will continue batting tomorrow at 10:30 local time or 23:30 GMT (Previous day).
