Al Hasan (left) will not feature in the last two ODIs

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will miss the remainder of the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe to be with his wife for the birth of their first child.

Al Hasan, who took his first five-wicket haul in ODIs in the first match, will fly to the United States, but it has not been confirmed whether he will be available for the two-match Twenty20 series that follows the three-match ODI series.

“The Bangladesh vice-captain is scheduled to fly for the USA tonight to be with his wife for the birth of their first child,” the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said in a statement.

The BCB also confirmed that batsman Anamul Haque will replace Al Hasan for the rest of the ODI series.
