West Indies debutant Jomel Warrican claimed four wickets to give his side the upper hand on the first day of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo.
As a result of Warrican’s superb performance with the ball, Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews would have been regretting his decision to bat first as Milinda Siriwardana was the only batsman to make a major contribution.
Siriwardana scored a career-best 68 off 111 balls, which included six boundaries and two sixes, while Rangana Herath and Dinesh Chandimal were the only other batsmen to surpass the 20-run mark. As a result, Sri Lanka were skittled out for 200.

Warrican was easily the pick of the bowlers with his four wickets, while West Indies skipper Jason Holder and Jerome Taylor snapped up two wickets apiece and Kemar Roach and Devendra Bishoo chipped in with one wicket each.
Trailing by 200 runs, the West Indies got off to a poor start as opener Shai Hope was given out lbw off the bowling of Dhammika Prasad on the sixth ball of the innings for four runs.
Kraigg Brathwaite and Bishoo, who was sent in as the nightwatchman, managed to amass an unbeaten 10-run partnership before bad light brought play to an end earlier than expected.
Brathwaite finished on four runs, while Bishoo remained undefeated on five.
Prasad was the only bowler to take a wicket.
The West Indies ended day one on 17/1 and will continue batting tomorrow at 10:00 local time or 04:30 GMT.
