Samuels has to get his action tested within 14 days

West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels was reported for a suspect action during the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.

Samuels will now have 14 days to get his action tested, but will be allowed to continue bowling until the results of his test are released.

This is the third time Samuels has been reported for a suspect action, with the first coming in the third Test against South Africa in Durban in 2008, in which the umpires were concerned about his faster ball. The 34-year-old was banned from bowling later on, but was allowed to start bowling again in September 2011 after he underwent remedial work on his action.

Samuels was reported again during the second day of the second Test against India in Mumbai in November 2013 and was subsequently banned from bowling his quicker ball.
