Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Amir has been fined 150 per cent of his match fee after he was involved in a heated dispute with former Pakistan batsman Faisal Iqbal during a domestic match.
According to reports, Amir was heard cursing at Iqbal, which prompted the latterĀ to call Amir a “thief”. This resulted in a verbal spat between the duo.
“Amir has been fined 50 percent for misbehaviour and 100 percent for the verbal attack,” a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesman told AFP. “Iqbal was also fined 50 percent of his fee for indiscipline.”
