Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza has been admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Dhaka after being diagnosed with dengue fever.
Mortaza developed a fever after tending to his one-year-old son Sohel, who has had a high fever for the past few days.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) physician Debashish Chowdhury confirmed that Mortaza had been hospitalised, but revealed that he has not received any word about his condition.
“It’s been confirmed that he has been diagnosed with dengue,” he told reporters. “I’ve spoken with the doctor at the hospital.”
