Zimbabwe wicketkeeper-batsman Richmond Mutumbami will make his limited overs comeback after being included in the ODI and Twenty20 squad that will take on Pakistan later this month.
Mutumbami will replace fellow wicketkeeper-batsman Regis Chakabva after he registered scores of 13, 3 and 2 in the one-off Twenty20 International and two ODIs against New Zealand in August.
Meanwhile, pace bowler Taurai Muzarabani is set to make his ODI debut and add to his three-match Twenty20 International tally after being drafted into both squads as well.
“The dynamic of the squad is made up of a calm and aggressive combination for the Pakistan series,” Zimbabwe’s convener of selectors Kenyon Ziehl said. “It’s a squad based on building a performance-related culture and giving a platform to the younger future players to prove their ability.”
Zimbabwe’s home series against Pakistan will consist of two Twenty20 Internationals on September 27 and 29 and three ODIs, which will be held on October 1, 3 and 5.
