India all-rounder Stuart Binny has been included in the Test squad for the second Test against Sri Lanka, which begins on August 20 in Colombo.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Binny had not been called up as a replacement for anyone.

Meanwhile, it is understood that opening batsman Murali Vijay, who missed the first Test due to a hamstring injury, will feature in the second Test. Fellow opener Shikhar Dhawan is also set to play in the second Test despite suffering an injury to his hand during the first Test in Galle.

India lost the first Test by 63 runs after they were bowled out for 112 in the second innings. With the second Test set to be Sri Lanka batsman Kumar Sangakkara’s swansong, India will face an uphill battle to keep themselves alive in the three-Test series.
