Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin returned home on Tuesday to spend time with his family after the Baggy Greens failed in their quest to retain the Ashes.

Following a poor performance in the first Test against England in Cardiff, where he made scores of 22 and seven, Haddin withdrew from the second Test at Lord’s, which allowed fellow wicketkeeper Peter Nevill to make his debut, to spend time at the hospital with his ill daughter Mia.

Haddin was not selected for the third Test and missed out on the fourth Test as well, which was where England regained the Ashes with a convincing innings and 78-run win.
