The second Test between Bangladesh and South Africa in Mirpur took one step closer to ending as a draw after Cyclone Komen led to play being abandoned for the second successive day.
There was some hope of play resuming at about 2:15 pm local time, but the rain returned half-an-hour before the resumption, which all but ended any chance of action on the third day.
With the series highly likely to end as a 0-0 draw, South Africa, who sit atop the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test team rankings, are set to lose five points, while Bangladesh, who are ranked ninth, will gain nine points.
