England pace bowler Steven Finn picked up his fifth five-wicket haul to leave England teetering on the edge of going 2-1 up in the Ashes.
However, Australia opener David Warner deserves some credit as he scored a valiant 77.
Starting out the day on 133/3, England would have found themselves in all sorts of trouble had it not been for Joe Root’s 63, which came off 75 balls and included nine boundaries and a six, and Moeen Ali’s 59, which came off 78 deliveries and included 11 boundaries.

Thanks to them and Stuart Broad’s valuable knock of 31, England went on to make 281 before being bowled out, which gave them a 145-run lead.

Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon snapped up three wickets apiece, while Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Johnson chipped in with two wickets each.
Trailing by 145 runs, none of Australia’s batsmen, with the exception of Warner and Peter Nevill, had any sort of impact as they failed to get out of the starting blocks.
Warner managed to keep England at bay for a while with his knock of 77, which came off 62 balls and included 11 boundaries, before the collapse continued.

Australia lost Johnson soon after, but Nevill and Starc managed to avoid getting out as they put together an unbeaten 15-run partnership.
Nevill finished on 37 off 117 balls, which included three boundaries, while Starc remained undefeated on seven.
Finn inflicted the most damage with five wickets, while Broad and James Anderson claimed one wicket each.
Australia ended day two on 168/7 and will continue batting tomorrow at 11:00 local time or 10:00 GMT.
